Projects & Deployments
AgroShield builds and deploys agro-climate intelligence systems where they're needed most — from the Mongolian steppe to climate-vulnerable farmlands across emerging economies.
01 — Flagship Deployment
Mongolia's first agro-climate information system.
It arrives as an unexpected frost. A failed harvest. A season that ends two weeks early. Mongolian farmers have faced rising climate volatility for decades — with almost no local data to work with. Weather forecasts arrived late. Satellite data lived in silos. No system connected climate insight to agricultural action.
AgroShield led the technical development of Mongolia's first agro-climate information system. Working with the EU-funded ACT4Darkhan project and the Mongolian Agricultural University, the team integrated three national climate data sources, deployed a pilot weather station, and built a working prototype validated across multiple data feeds.
Six-person specialist team formed at the Mongolian Agricultural University of Darkhan. Detailed activity plan approved through three review sessions with the ACT4Darkhan steering committee.
Mapped every climate data source in Mongolia — climate-service.mn, 1212.mn, and government meteorological data. Partnered with CropX Mongolia for pilot weather stations. Established cooperation agreements for satellite remote-sensing data.
Built the first working prototype with senior consultants on the ground in Darkhan. Validated accuracy across multiple data sources. System now operational with expansion planned to other Mongolian provinces.
02 — Focus Area
Floods. Droughts. Unseasonable frost. Shifting monsoons. AgroShield is building early-warning infrastructure that helps communities anticipate and respond to climate-driven agricultural risk — before it becomes a crisis.
Satellite + ground sensor fusion to predict flood-prone zones before the rain hits.
Soil moisture trends + precipitation models to flag drought conditions weeks in advance.
SMS and app-based warnings delivered to farmers, cooperatives, and local authorities.
03 — Focus Area
Climate risk doesn't stop at the farm gate. AgroShield's intelligence layer extends to urban infrastructure, smart city planning, and critical asset protection — helping governments and institutions build resilience where populations are most concentrated.
Thermal monitoring and heat stress alerts for dense urban environments.
Sensor networks monitoring bridges, roads, and utilities against climate-driven damage.
Structured climate data formatted for government planning and investment decisions.
What's Next
ACT4Darkhan proved the model. Now AgroShield is scaling — across provinces, across borders, across climate challenges.
Deployment planned across additional Mongolian provinces following ACT4Darkhan success.
Framework ready for climate-vulnerable agricultural regions across the continent.
Governments, NGOs, and development partners — let's build the next deployment together.
